Get a petrol. ALL Euro 5 category cars are REQUIRED to have a DPF to meet the standards. they do not need such longer runs or revs now but driving round the city is not going to do it much good. I would be happy to get petrol, but fuel consumption is so high as far as i know (did see numbers like 13mpg) for petrol XC60 in the city.
Through a DPF delete, some users have been able to stretch oil changes to 10-15K, saving more money and protecting the engine better. 5. Increased Performance. Some users have reported a modest increase in MPG and a reduction in emissions-related equipment malfunctions, making it seem like a win-win situation. Car. 2002 W203 (CL) Plate C220CDi Coupe Auto. Thanks to all of you, confirmed today definitely no DPF but does have 2 flippin' cats restricting the flow of gases - I can see a de-cat in the future, but other priorities for now. Mar 9, 2013.

Hi, I've had a scour of these forums prior to posting this thread and couldn't find any related threads regarding DPF's. Need some urgent help if any experts can assist. So the story is: Brand new ford ranger XLT 2021 model. Had 0 miles on the clock. I do consistent 60mph to 70mph journeys

Most are required hook up to the ODBII port, and do a visual check to ensure all emission control equipment when the truck was made is still in place. Including DPF, CAT converter, EGR system, etc. I would doubt you'll be able to get the delete to pass every time, and in some places the fines can be heavy.

This will involve the mechanic running a DPF clean cycle which runs the car at a high RPM for a prolonged time. The ECU makes this cycle heat up the DPF filter to high temperatures, clearing the filter by burning its contents. Alternatively, a manual DPF cleaning process to clear the filter can be carried out.
These artificial restrictions can become worse over time as soot builds up within the EGR and DPF. Deleting the DPF and EGR removes these restrictions, freeing your diesel engine to generate more horsepower and torque. Improved Reliability. DPF and EGR systems are designed to work as reliably as possible. Nevertheless, many truck owners have
How many revs does it take to clean a DPF? You should drive your vehicle for approximately 15 minutes keeping the engine revs between 2000 – 2500 rpm. This is probably best done on an A road. Keep the car in a lower than normal gear (use ‘S’ on an automatic) in order to keep the revs up.
In fact a DPF, as a system, would have to be one of the dodgiest, least reliable systems on a modern car. Not because it’s a bad idea - it’s not. It’s a great idea. No lung cancer? I’ll take it. Have that wrapped and sent to my suite. It’s a bad idea because it’s a bolt-on, after the fact addition. It’s a systematic ‘fail’. Xsgcsen.
