The 'San Giovani' phrase can be confusing. There is a lake front town San Giovanni. Also, the town of Como's train station on the international line is 'San Giovani'. (As opposed to Como's other train station - 'Lago'). The lake front town of San Giovanni, near Bellagio would indeed have just a few boats per day. It is very small.
