Has your dealer had a proper inspection of the car. I think someone is getting confused between ETG6 Gearbox which is a semi automatic which went out of use by Citroen in late 2014 and early 2015 and is Italian, and the EAT6 Gearbox which is a full automatic and is of Japanese origin (Aisin Warner)
Having Difficult time with semi automatic box. In normal driving the gearbox is fine, the 1st to 2nd change is very clunky whether you are in auto mode or manual, manual mode seems slightly smoother but not much. But hill starting and moving in very dense traffic is awful. Yes I know how to slowly release the (poorly shaped) handbrake on a hillCame up with "gearbox fault" and that error code 1704 - gear selector coherence fault. Had trouble selecting between 'R', 'N', 'A1', 'M'. When trying to start even in 'N' and foot on brake to start - it would often STILL give the select 'N' and put foot on brake message - so wouldn't start.

We have been told the gearbox oil needs topping up but I've read on here that you shouldn't need too. Any advice would be appreciated.The gearbox has been removed at the garage, they have said there are metal bits within the oil and have said i have a choice of three options 1. Hi All, I have not long aquired a 1.6 C4 Picasso VTR+ with the 6 speed Auto / Manual gearbox, i dont know if its just me, but find when pulling away in 1st gear auto / man mode there is a very slight delay before the drive engages which causes a slight thud, also if i give a bit more rev to pull away, there is a slight judder, question is, is it me not used to this type of gearbox, or is there
